Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 4 billion through two offerings on Monday, 5 September.
The first issue was valued at EGP 1 billion, carrying a five-year maturity period until 12 July 2027, according to official data.
Holding a tenor of three years until 6 September 2025, the second tranche stood at EGP 3 billion.
Additionally, the CBE auctioned zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7.50 billion through one offering, which will mature on 27 February 2024.
Last week, the central bank offered T-bonds at a combined value of EGP 4.50 billion through two tranches and zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7 billion through one auction.
