Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 12 billion through two issues on Monday, 17 March.
The first tranche was valued at EGP 4 billion, holding a tenor of two years until 4 March 2027, according to official data.
With a three-year maturity period until 4 March 2028, the second auction stood at EGP 8 billion.
Meanwhile, the CBE announced floating-rate T-bonds worth EGP 9.50 billion through two tranches, with a tenor of three and five years, respectively.
The first issue amounted to EGP 8 billion, while the second one hit EGP 1.50 billion.
Last week, the CBE announced debt instruments at an aggregated value of EGP 21 billion over four issues.
