Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has auctioned on Monday, 10 January, treasury bills (T-bills) and bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 14 billion over three offerings, according to official data.
The T-bills stood at EGP 12.5 billion through two tranches, with the first being worth EGP 3 billion and holding a maturity period of 91 days until 12 April 2022.
The second issue of T-bills was valued at EGP 9.5 billion and will mature in 273 days on 11 October 2022.
In terms of the T-bonds, the CBE offered EGP 1.5 billion worth of notes over one issue, which will carry a five-year tenor until 11 January 2027.
A day earlier, the CBE offered T-bills and T-bonds worth EGP 21.25 billion through four issues.
