Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) totalling EGP 90 billion in two issues on Thursday, 27 November.
The first tranche stood at EGP 35 billion, carrying a maturity period of 182 days until 2 June 2026, according to official data.
Valued at EGP 55 billion, the second offering will mature in 273 days on 1 December next year.
Earlier this week, the CBE offered T-bills worth EGP 65 billion through two auctions.
