CBE offers EGP 85bn T-bills, T-bonds on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 70 billion through two auctions on Sunday, 10 May.

Both tranches were valued at EGP 35 billion, maturing on 10 November 2026 and 11 May 2027, respectively, according to the CBE’s data.

The CBE also announced treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 15 billion in two issues.

With a tenor of two years until 17 March 2028, the first offering stood at EGP 5 billion.

The second tranche was valued at EGP 10 billion, carrying a three-year maturity period until 31 March 2029.
