CBE offers EGP 72bn T-bills on Sunday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 72 billion in two auctions on Sunday, 17 November 2024.

The first offering stood at EGP 45 billion and will mature in 91 days on 18 February 2025, according to official data.

The second issue was valued at EGP 27 billion, holding a tenor of 273 days until 19 August next year.

Last week, the central bank auctioned T-bills at a total value of EGP 50 billion through two offerings.
