Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 47.50 billion through two offerings on Sunday, 15 October 2023.
Holding a tenor of 91 days until 16 January 2024, the first issue was valued at EGP 22.50 billion, according to official data.
The second tranche stood at EGP 25 billion and will mature in 273 days on 16 July next year.
On 9 October, the CBE issued T-bills and treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 50.50 billion over three auctions.
