Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 40 billion through two auctions on Sunday, 2 April.
The first tranche was valued at EGP 22.50 billion and will mature in 91 days on 4 July 2023, according to official data.
Meanwhile, the second issue stood at EGP 17.50 billion, holding a tenor of 273 days until 2 January 2024.
On 30 March, the CBE offered T-bills worth EGP 39.50 billion through two tranches.
