Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 25.50 billion through two tranches on Sunday, 9 October.
The first auction was valued at EGP 4.50 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 11 April 2023, according to official data.
Meanwhile, the second issue stood at EGP 21 billion and will mature in 364 days on 10 October next year.
In addition, the central bank offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 7 billion through one auction, which carries a three-year maturity period until 4 October 2025.
Last week, the CBE auctioned T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 28.50 billion through two issues.
