CBE offers EGP 26.5bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 26.50 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 8 December.

The first auction stood at EGP 5 billion, carrying a tenor of 182 days until 13 June 2023, according to official data.

Moreover, the second issue was valued at EGP 21.50 billion and will mature in 364 days on 12 December next year.

On 4 December, the CBE offered T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 27.50 billion through two auctions.
