Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 15 billion through two tranches on Monday, 24 March.
Holding a tenor of two years until 4 March 2027, the first offering stood at EGP 5 billion, according to official data.
The second tranche was valued at EGP 10 billion and will mature in three years on 4 March 2028.
The CBE also auctioned floating-rate T-bonds at a combined value of EGP 10 billion through two offerings, with a maturity period of three and five years, respectively.
The first issue amounted to EGP 8 billion, while the second one stood at EGP 2 billion.
A week ago, the CBE unveiled debt instruments at an aggregated value of EGP 21.50 billion.
