CBE offers EGP 24bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 24 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 21 April.

The first offering was valued at EGP 14 billion, carrying a maturity period of 91 days until 26 July this year, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second issue stood at EGP 10 billion, holding a 273-day tenor until 24 January 2023.

On 17 April, the CBE auctioned T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 22 billion through two offerings.
