Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is issuing treasury bills (T-bills) worth a total of EGP 18 billion over two tranches on Thursday, according to official data.
The first offering stands at EGP 3 billion in value, holding a maturity period of 182 days until 14 June 2022.
The second auction amounts to EGP 15 billion and carries a 364-day tenor until 13 December 2022.
It is worth noting that Egypt’s last T-bills issues were on 5 December, when the CBE auctioned EGP 18.5 billion worth of notes.
