CBE issues two-type T-bonds at EGP 11.5bn on Monday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 4.50 billion through two issues on Monday, 29 August.

The first offering was valued at EGP 4 billion, holding a tenor of three years until 5 July 2025, according to official data.

With a seven-year maturity period until 5 July 2029, the second tranche stood at EGP 500 million.

Moreover, the CBE issued zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7 billion through one auction, which will mature on 27 February 2024.

Last week, the central bank auctioned T-bonds at a value of EGP 1 billion through one issue and zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7.50 billion through one offering.
