Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 43.50 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 12 January.
The first tranche was valued at EGP 20 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 18 July 2023, according to official data.
Meanwhile, the second offering stood at EGP 23.50 billion and will mature in 364 days on 16 January 2024.
On 9 January, the CBE issued T-bills worth EGP 35 billion through two auctions.
