CBE issues EGP 26.5bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 26.50 billion through two auctions on Thursday, 24 November.

The first issue stood at EGP 5 billion and will mature in 182 days on 30 May 2023, according to official data.

With a tenor of 364 days until 28 November next year, the second tranche was valued at EGP 21.50 billion.

On 20 November, the CBE auctioned T-bills worth EGP 27.50 billion through two issues.
