Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued $1.1 billion worth of treasury bills on Monday, on behalf of the ministry of finance (MoF).
CBE said that the average return on the bills reached 3.718% compared to 3.749% in November 2015, as the highest rate registered 3.72% and lowest accepted price was at 3.66%.
Last November, the CBE decided to float the Egyptian Pound and raised interest rates by 300 basis points.
Egypt’s foreign exchange reserves reached $23.058 billion at the end of November 2016, increasing by $4.017 billion from its level in October.
