CBE auctions two-type T-bonds at EGP 5.5bn on Monday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 1 billion through two tranches on Monday, 30 May.

The first issue stood at EGP 750 million, carrying a maturity period of five years until 5 April 2027, according to official data.

The second offering was valued at EGP 250 million, holding a tenor of 10 years until 17 May 2032.

In addition, the central bank issued zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 4.50 billion through one offering, which will mature in 1.5 years on 28 November 2023.  

Last week, the CBE auctioned T-bonds worth EGP 2 billion through two offerings and zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 5 billion through one issue.
