CBE auctions two-type T-bonds at EGP 11bn on Monday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 4 billion through two tranches on Monday, 12 September.

The first issue stood at EGP 500 million, holding a seven-year tenor until 5 July 2029, according to official data.

The second tranche was valued at EGP 3.50 billion and will mature in three years on 6 September 2025.

Furthermore, the CBE issued zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7 billion through one auction, carrying a 1.5-year maturity period until 12 March 2024.

Last week, the central bank auctioned T-bonds at a total value of EGP 4 billion through two issues and zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7.50 billion through one tranche.
