Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is offering on Sunday, 30 January, treasury bills (T-bills) and bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 21 billion over three auctions, according to official data.
The T-bills are valued at EGP 19 billion through two tranches, with the first being worth EGP 12.5 billion and holding a maturity period of 182 days until 2 August 2022.
The second offering of T-bills stands at EGP 6.5 billion and will mature in 364 days on 31 January 2023.
As for the T-bonds, the CBE is auctioning EGP 2 billion worth of notes through one issue, which will hold a three-year tenor until 4 January 2025.
It is worth noting that on 24 January, the CBE offered T-bonds worth EGP 3 billion over three tranches.
