CBE auctions EGP 70bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 70 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 11 January 2024.

The first tranche was valued at EGP 35 billion and will mature in 182 days on 16 July next year, according to official data.

Holding a 364-day until 14 January 2025, the second tranche stood at EGP 35 billion.

Earlier this week, the central bank offered debt instruments at a combined value of EGP 60.50 billion over three auctions.
