CBE auctions EGP 46.5bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 46.50 billion through two issues on Thursday, 23 November 2023.

The first tranche stood at EGP 19.50 billion, carrying a maturity period of 182 days until 28 May 2024, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second offering was valued at EGP 27 billion and will mature in 364 days on 26 November next year.

On 19 November, the CBE issued T-bills worth EGP 47.50 billion through two offerings.
