CBE auctions EGP 12.5bn T-bills on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has offered treasury bills (T-bills) worth EGP 12.50 billion through two tranches on Sunday, 20 March, according to official data.

The first issue totalled EGP 3 billion, holding a maturity period of 91 days until 21 June 2022.

The second offering was at an aggregated value of EGP 9.50 billion and will mature in 273 days on 20 December this year.

On March 17, the CBE auctioned T-bills at a total value of EGP 20 billion through two issues.
