Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 500 million through one auction on Monday, 13 February.
The offering holds a five-year maturity period until 13 October 2027, according to official data.
Moreover, the CBE auctioned zero-coupon T-bonds at a value of EGP 1 billion through one tranche, which will mature in 1.5 years on 13 August 2024.
With a tenor of three years until 14 February 2026, the central bank also offered floating-rate T-bonds worth EGP 1 billion.
Last week, the CBE auctioned T-bonds worth 3 billion through one issue, in addition to zero-coupon T-bonds and treasury bills (T-bills) in USD valued at EGP 1.50 billion and $1 billion, respectively.
