Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 43.50 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 16 February.
With a 182-day maturity period until 22 August 2023, the first tranche was valued at EGP 20.50 billion, according to official data.
Meanwhile, the second offering stood at EGP 23 billion, holding a tenor of 364 days until 20 February 2024.
On 12 February, the CBE issued T-bills worth EGP 34 billion through two tranches.
