Boursa Kuwait’s indices close Monday mixed

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session with a mixed performance, as the All-Share and Main markets retreated 0.03% and 0.18%, respectively, while the Premier Market went up 0.04%.

Investors’ sentiments are still controlling the performance of Boursa Kuwait and other markets in the region due to current political rift and tension, capital market analyst Moustafa Al Jarhy told Mubasher.

The All-Share index approached its main support level at 5,100 points; this is considered a negative indicator, the analyst added.

The insurance segment led five decliners with 0.9%, while the consumer goods sector topped five gainers with 0.12%.

Wethaq led the losers with 10%, while Al Masaken was the top winner with a gain of 10%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank by 10.8% to KWD 10.3 million on Monday from KWD 11.54 million in the prior session after the trading volume decreased by 22.4% to 56.18 million shares from 72.41 million.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest trading value of KWD 1.41 million, rising 0.36%.

Al Madina was the most active stock on which 6.21 million shares were exchanged, the stock went down 1.5%.
