Boursa Kuwait opens in green on Thursday

Mubasher: The Boursa Kuwait’s indices rallied all at the opening of Thursday’s trading session, led by oil and gas sector.

The All-Share Market, Main Market, and Premier indices advanced by 0.44%, 0.43% and 0.44%, respectively.

Oil and gas sector led the gains, having increased by 0.95%, while real estate rose by 0.74%.

However, insurance stocks only posted losses, edging down by 0.15%.

In terms of individual shares, Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment Co was the top gainer at the beginning of the session, jumping by 20.85%, whereas Abyaar Real Estate Development was in the red, recording an 8.89% fall.

Trading volume amounted to 26.82 million shares, exchanged through 1345 transactions, with a turnover of KWD 5.3 million ($17.48 million).

The National Bank of Kuwait’s (NBK) stock, which rose by 0.49%, led the bourse in terms of liquidity with KWD 996,800.

In addition, Kuwait and Middle East Financial Investment (KMEFIC), which went up by 1.63%, led the trading activity volume with 2.94 million shares.
