Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait indices went up in Wednesday’s early trades, topped by the consumer services and banks sectors.
By 11:10 am Kuwait time, the benchmark price index rose 0.39% or 24.43 points to reach 6,751.30 points.
The weighted and Kuwait-15 indices grew 0.29% and 0.33%, respectively.
The consumer services sector led risers with 3.85% as Eyas surged 16.6%, registering its highest level since its listing.
The banks sector gained 0.34% after the Commercial Bank of Kuwait increased 1.77%.
On the other hand, three sectors fell, led by the telecommunications sector with 0.93% as Hits Telecom declined 2.3%.
Traded volume reached 12.56 million shares, while liquidity stood at KWD 3.02 million through 488 transactions.
Ahli United Bank’s stock led in terms of trading volume with 2.07 million shares exchanged, rising 0.49%, while Boubyan Petrochemical’s stock was the most active in terms of traded value with a turnover of KWD 714,070, rising 0.17%.
