Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait opened Thursday’s trading session in the green.
By 9:35 am Kuwait time, the benchmark price index rose 0.35% or 22.9 points, to 6,626.4 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices inched up 0.54% and 0.81%, respectively.
The industrial sector increased 0.67% as Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Company’s stock gained 5.3%.
On the other hand, the basic materials segment decreased 1.6% after Qurain Petrochemical Industries’ stock fell 4.3%.
Al Madina for Finance and Investment’s stock led gainers after jumping 14.83%, whereas First Takaful Insurance’s stock was the worst performer after tumbling 14.14%.
Boursa Kuwait's trading volume reached about 18.12 million shares changed hands through 712 transactions, with a turnover of KWD 6 million.
Kuwait Finance House’s (KFH) stock, which added 0.51%, was the most active after 3.83 million shares were exchanged, generating KWD 2.28 million in liquidity.
