Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Thursday’s trading session with a mixed performance.
By 9:37am Kuwait time, the benchmark price index retreated 0.18% or 11.8 points to 6,675.17 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices edged up 0.01% and 0.08%, respectively.
The basic materials segment topped gainers with 1.25%, followed by the oil and gas segment which added 0.3%.
Meanwhile, technology companies led decliners with 4.3%, followed by the telecom sector which went down 0.64%.
Tahssilat was the top winner with 8%, while Automated Systems led losers with 13.8%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 1.3 million after 6.82 million shares changed hands through 366 transactions.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) recorded the highest liquidity of about KWD 278,300. The stock reached 589 fils.
Jiyad was the most active stock on which 827,000 shares were exchanged. The stock retreated 0.71%.
