Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session 0.30% or 20.58 points lower at 6,897.42 points.
Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.33% and 0.54%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased to KWD 18.52 million on Thursday compared to KWD 9.65 million in the previous session, after the trading volume increased to 92.66 million shares from 52.49 million.
The consumer goods segment led four decliners with 2.94%, dragged by Livestock which lost 8.45%.
Meanwhile, the banks segment topped five gainers with 0.39%, backed by the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) which rose by 0.53% to 754 fils, the highest level in 22 months.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 28.07 million shares were traded at a value of 5.05 million, rising 2.26%.
