Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of all sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.79% to 8,950.39 points, adding 69.88 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 168.3 million after 3.8 million shares exchanged through 914 transactions.
The transportation sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 3.03% as Qatar Navigation surged 7.41%.
Similarly, the banking sector levelled up 0.64%, boosted by the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) jumped 4.17%, while the industrial sector went up 0.27% as Al Khaleej International grew 1.90%.
Qatar Navigation’s stock led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 1.2 million shares, while Masraf Al Rayan’s stock, headed the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 47.7 million.
