Banks stocks weigh on ADX at Sunday's close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Sunday’s trading session down by 0.25% or 12.75 points, closing at 5,079.65 points.

The market’s turnover reached AED 87.99 million where 19.33 million shares were exchanged through 1,014 transactions.

In the meantime, the market cap value slid by AED 860 million to stand at AED 522.20 billion when compared to AED 523.06 billion on Thursday.

The banks sector came on top of the losers with 0.73%, whereas the real estate sector led the winners with 0.87%.

The United Arab Bank (UAB) topped the decliners with 9.8%, while the Abu Dhabi National Insurance company led the gainers with 1.85%.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), down 0.99%, showed the highest liquidity of AED 28.86 million, while Dana Gas, down 0.43%, was the most active stock with 4.40 million shares.
