Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait started Sunday in the green, encouraged by the massive growth of its indices.
By 09:23 am Kuwait time, the All-Share Market index went up 0.53%, while the Main Market index and the Premier Market inched up 0.07% and 0.8%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 904,600, of which 95% were in the Premier Market, after 2.8 million shares were exchanged through 240 transactions.
The banking sector topped the bourse’s climbers adding 0.92% as National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) jumped 1.53%.
On the negative side, the consumer goods sector topped the market’s decliners falling 0.35%, dragged by Mezzan Holding which dropped 1.2%.
Kuwait Finance House’s stock (KFH), which advanced 0.58%, led Boursa Kuwait in terms of liquidity with KWD145,840, while Ahli United Bank’s stock, which increased 0.56%, topped the market in terms of trading volume with 373,530 shares.
