The benchmark index of Bahrain Bourse ended Wednesday in green, backed by banks and investment sectors. The index inched up 0.07% or 0.88 points to close at 1,275.8 points.
Market capitalization increased to BHD 7.523 billion as compared to BHD 7.518 billion on Tuesday.
Today’s turnover stood at BHD 173,000 as 2 million shares were traded through 51 deals.
Investment sector gained 0.22%, boosted by Al Baraka Banking Group which rose 1.56%.
Banks sector rose 0.09%, backed by Gulf Commercial Bank which gained 5.26%.
Meanwhile, services sector lost 0.18%, affected by Batelco which dropped 0.61%.
Gulf Commercial Bank recorded the highest trading volume, as 1.8 million shares were traded with a value worth BHD 107,400 through 35 deals. The stock settled higher at BHD 0.060.
