Manama – Mubasher: Khalid Ebrahim Humaidan, the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) confirmed that the Kingdom is working on expanding the base of national competencies in the fintech sector.
Humaidan elaborated that Bahrain has direction toward providing wide job opportunities for its citizens in the field of fintech, alongside building an incubating environment for talents and ideas from within and outside the Kingdom.
During the first day of the Fintech Forward event in Bahrain, the CBB Governor added that the financial system has witnessed a rapid transformation from cash transactions and transfers through traditional systems, such as SWIFT and bank accounts, to a digital model that allows the execution of a wide range of financial services via mobile phones and with the push of a button.
Humaidan noted that digital transformation is a crucial factor in enhancing financial stability and opening new avenues for growth, explaining that the development of regulatory technologies and data-driven financial infrastructure will contribute to building more resilient, efficient, and adaptable financial systems.
The two-day forum features networking sessions connecting investors, institutions, and policymakers, alongside an exhibition showcasing products and solutions from 20 organizations across different sectors.
