Mubasher: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 161%.
The sukuk issue was BHD 26 million, yet the subscription received amounted to BHD 41.8 million, according to a recent statement.
The Islamic leasing bonds’ issue carries a maturity of 182 days from 13 April 2017 to 12 October 2017.
The expected return on the issue is 2.37%, which is equivalent to the previous issue on 16 March 2017.
