Mubasher: The Italian oil major Eni signed a memorandum of understanding with Bahrain’s National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) to begin drilling activities in the Gulf nation in 2019.
Under this agreement, the Italian company will start its drilling operations for the first oil exploratory well in the northern maritime bloc 1, Arabian Business reported citing Bahrain’s minister of oil and NOGA’s chairman.
In addition, NOGA is cooperating with the Petroleum Development Company (Tatweer) in conducting studies on further oil and energy discoveries in the coming years, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa added.
