Mubasher: The main index of Bahrain Bourse (BHB) declined by 1.5% or 20.32 points month-on-month to close April at 1,335.67 points.
The turnover decreased to BHD 21.42 million in April from BHD 24.25 million in March, while the trading volume increased to 140.57 million shares from 95.928 million.
BHB’s market cap gained BHD 1 million ($2.6 million) to reach BHD 8.078 billion ($21.27 billion) in April from BHD 8.077 billion ($21.32 billion) in the prior month.
The investment sector lost 3.8%, dragged by GFH which fell by 3.5%.
The banks segment also levelled down by 0.67%, impacted by NBB and AUB which lost 2.26% and 2.08%, respectively.
The services sector edged down 0.44%, as Batelco fell by 0.76%.
Meanwhile, the industrial segment gained 2.89%, on the back of Alba which rose by 2.9%.
