Almarai records SAR 868m profits in H1-21

Riyadh – Mubasher: Almarai Company posted a decline of 15.5% in net profits after Zakat and tax to SAR 867.9 million during the first half (H1) of 2021 from SAR 1.02 billion in H1-20.

Earnings per share stood at SAR 0.88 in the January-June 2021 period, compared to SAR 1.05 in the same period last year, according to a bourse statement on Sunday.

Sales slightly decreased by 0.3% to SAR 7.65 billion in H1-21 from SAR 7.67 billion in H1-20.

As for the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, Almarai registered net profits worth SAR 482 million, down by 25% from SAR 643.9 million in Q2-20.

Sales also declined by 1.86% to SAR 4 billion in Q2-21 from SAR 4.08 billion in Q2-20.

On a quarterly basis, the company’s net profits in Q2-21 were higher by 25% than SAR 385.9 million in Q1-21. Sales were also higher by 9.8% than SAR 3.64 billion.
