Cairo - Mubasher: Alexandria Customs collected EGP 8.025 billion in customs duties, taxes, and other charges during June.
The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Alexandria port reached EGP 2.291 billion during the sixth month of 2021, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Sunday.
Moreover, the value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods stood at EGP 6.625 billion during the month.
The imported goods included strategic commodities, production inputs, spare parts, general cargo, cars, and tobacco.
Alexandria Port also exported goods during the month, including fertilisers, marble, phosphates, ceramics, sugar, and clothing. Total charges imposed on the export of these goods registered EGP 3.346 million.
