Agthia Group profits edge up 1.1% in Q3

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Agthia Group announced Wednesday that its profits for the third quarter increased by 1.1% year-over-year to AED 54.82 million ($14.92 million) from AED 54.21 million ($14.76 million), according to a bourse filing.

Over the first nine months, the company earned AED 200.19 million, higher 11.7% from AED 179.15 million for the year-ago period.

Operating profits for the nine-month period saw an 11.7% rise year-on-year to stand at AED 200.03 million from AED 182.2 million.

 “Our results in the past quarter and overall in the first nine months of the year come directly as a result of our strategy to drive our core businesses both in the UAE and regionally, while successfully addressing the performance of our emerging businesses. The market sentiment is likely to remain cautious for the coming year; however, our investments and our growth in market share ensure we continue to maintain our momentum, and our reputation, as a leading food and beverage company not only in the UAE but in the region as a whole”, Dhafer Ayed Al Ahbabi, Chairman of Agthia.
