Abu Dhabi’s inflation up 3% YoY in December

UAE - Mubasher: Abu Dhabi's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 3.1% to 111.2 points in December 2021, compared to 107.9 points in the same month of 2020.

On a monthly basis, the emirate's CPI declined in December 2021, when compared to 111.3 points in November 2021, according to a report by the Statistics Centre − Abu Dhabi (SCAD).

The prices of the transport, recreation and culture, as well as restaurants and hotels sectors rose by 10.1%, 4%, and 2.4%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the prices of the clothing and footwear and furnishings and household equipment segments declined by 4% and 1.1%, respectively.
