Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The emirate of Abu Dhabi is expected to see its gross domestic product (GDP) rise by 3.16% in 2018, said Ahmed Ghannam, head of international relations at the Department of Economic Development of Abu Dhabi.
The statement came during Ghannam’s participation at the Abu Dhabi Business Forum on Monday, which he said was set to be an important Launchpad to bolster partnerships between the public and private sectors.
The forum first and foremost aims to increase the private sector’s contribution to the emirate’s economy.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development said in a previous statement that forecasts indicated a non-oil GDP growth of 3.77%.
UAE economy minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori recently expected the UAE’s economic growth to rise between 3.5% and 4% in 2017.
