Abu Dhabi airport works to be finished by end-2017

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Airports expects external works currently being carried out in the airport’s new terminal to be completed by the end of 2017.

The new terminal will receive up to 30 million travellers annually, the Abu Dhabi Airports company said in a statement, noting that the terminal will house 65 gates.

As for parking, the new terminal offers up to 3,400 spaces for short-term temporary parking, in addition to another area for longer-term parking capable of housing 1,500 vehicles, according to the statement.

The new terminal at the Abu Dhabi International Airport covers an area of 742,000 square metres.

Further additions will be made to the terminal in 2019, the company added.
