ASE closes Wednesday in red

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Wednesday’s trading session in the red zone, as the main index lost 0.26% or 5.49 points and closed at the level of 2,105.45 points.

The industrial sector declined 1.2% as Phosphate Mines dropped 4.52%, despite that Arab Aluminum Industry led the session’s gainers and surged 6.43%.

Similarly, the financial sector slipped 0.12% as International Cards led today’s gainers and lost 4.76%.

On the other hand, the services sector edged up 0.16% on the back of Philadelphia Educational which added 3.02%.

Total traded volumes increased to 7.1 million shares compared to 6.1 million shares on Tuesday, while total turnovers declined to JOD 7.8 million from JOD 16.25 million.
