Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) general index ended Monday at a rise, adding 0.76% or 15.98 points, closing at 2118.18 points.
The benchmark index rose on the back of the main sectors, led by the industrial sector which gained 1.59%, with Jordanian Pharmaceutical growing 4.76%, while Union Tobacco and Cigarette led the decliners after dropping 6.27%.
The financial sector levelled up 0.56%, pushed by 6 stocks, led by International Cards which rose 4.54%, and Jordan Islamic Bank adding 0.85% and registering the highest turnover of JOD 285,210.
On the flipside, Al Amal Financial Investment shed 1.35%, and was most active in terms of traded volume with 162,890 shares.
The services sector gained 0.48%, with Jopetrol and JETT increasing 1.49% and 5.47% respectively.
Total Traded volume increased to 8.4 million shares from 8.3 million on Sunday, while traded value shrank to JOD 9.1 million from JOD 9.2 million in last session.
