Mubasher: The main index of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) gained 0.52% in July, closing at 2102.13 points.
The industrial sector added 0.91%, on the back of Al Eqbal which levelled up 0.87%, despite Phosphate being July’s biggest loser with 0.53%.
As for the service sector, it also went up 0.61%, pushed by the top gainer Irbid Electricity with 1.35%, and Jopetrol adding 0.9%.
Likewise, the financial sector increased 0.39%, with leading banks like Arab Bank which gained 0.05% and Housing Bank, which edged up 0.04% but registered the biggest turnover of JOD 13.7 million.
Ad Dulayl Industrial had the biggest traded volume of 14.3 million shares.
Total traded volume declined 1.08% month-on-month to 106.68 million shares from 107.84 million, while traded volume decreased 2.6% to JOD 113.34 million from JOD 116.37 million in June.
