Cairo – Mubasher: The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) has signed a cooperation protocol with B.TECH on 26 October to boost local manufacturing and enhance the expertise of both parties.
The two entities aim to offer high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of Egyptian consumers through the three-year agreement, according to a press release.
The protocol will ensure capitalising on AOI’s Electronics Factory, which owns production lines for electrical and electronic devices and appliances. The facility will be responsible for producing and assembling several items of international brands that will be exclusively distributed by B.TECH in the Egyptian market.
AOI’s factory will also manufacture the products of B.TECH’s ULTRA brand.
On the other hand, the consumer electronics retailer and home appliance distributor will be in charge of the marketing, selling, and distribution of electrical devices and home appliances of the PLUTO brand that is fully owned by the Electronics Factory, in addition to LED systems and the products manufactured in collaboration with other private entities.
Chairman of the AOI, Mokhtar Abdel Latif, said: “The signing of the cooperation protocol with B.TECH comes in line with the state’s directives to strengthen cooperation with the private sector, develop local industries and benefit from the marketing expertise and geographical presence of B.TECH all over Egypt.”
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Khattab, Chairman and CEO of B.TECH, noted: "This cooperation represents a vital step in the company's efforts to develop the industrial sector and enhance local manufacturing to boost the competitiveness of local products, increase the [gross domestic product] GDP, and secure job opportunities to support the national economy and the objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030.”
