ADX snaps 5-day losses Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADX) reversed the downtrend it maintained for five straight sessions on Tuesday.

The main index rose 0.13% or 5.64 points to reach 4,387.96 points.

Trading volume reached 81.42 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 158.29 million shares on Monday. Turnover amounted to AED 144.41 million, compared to AED 495.29 million.

The banks sector rose 0.66% as First Gulf Bank (FGB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) went up 1.7% and 0.41%, respectively.

On the other hand, the real estate sector fell 1.33% as Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties went down 1.72% and 0.85%, respectively.

The telecom sector declined 0.28% as Etisalat tumbled 0.28%.

Eshraq was the most active stock after trading 26.75 million shares worth AED 31.45 million.
